CR-8000 Design Force: Multi-board PCB Design Design

CR-8000 Design Force Named a Finalist for the Prestigious UBM Electronics ACE Award

It’s not often that you get rewarded for the things you do every day – I mean really rewarded.  We’re all accustomed to “thanks”, “great job”, “well done”, and the metaphorical pat on the back, but this is something different.  CR-8000 Design Force has been named a finalist in the software category in the EE Times and EDN 2012 UBM Electronics ACE Awards. The awards program honors the people and companies behind the technologies and products that are changing the world of electronics.

A Revolution

When the product was released, it brought about comments from the editorial and user communities like, “cool”, “sweet graphics”, “I’ve never seen anything like it”, and the list goes on.  Making the cut and being selected as a finalist product for this award confirms what we already knew: this was a revolution in the way people would be designing in the future. My colleague, Steve Chidester, Head of International Marketing, Zuken Europe and North America, said:

“We knew we had something special in CR-8000. It’s the first new PCB design suite in more than a decade to be built from the ground up, and has been greeted with high praise and acclaim. We’re happy to get this independent verification and look forward to the results.”

And the Winner is…

Five finalists were chosen in each category by a panel of EE Times editors. The overall winners will be determined by a panel of independent judges from across industry, electronics media and academia. Category winners will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday March 27, 2012.

EETimes and EDN readers can vote for the Ultimate Product in each award category. Audience votes, as well as balloting by EETimes’ and EDN’s editorial staff, will count towards the final result.

The Real Rewards

When our development team set out years ago to create a truly unique and innovative solution, well ahead of its time, they did it because that’s what they do every day.  To be recognized for that effort in this awards program is an honor not taken lightly.  In the end, the real reward is see our customers around the globe put that technology to use.
